Suuure, there's some essays I should be writing but honestly...who would wanna do that?
So here I am making a journal entry. Yup yup.
What should I talk about...hmm...The genius of The Night Watch series!
So I read the first book over the summer (So epic O.O) and now I'm finally taking some time to read The Day Watch. Only on page 50 so far, but it's so good. Sure I've been rediculed by others thinking "Oh you're reading vampire books now too?......" But seriously, just because there's a damn bat on the first book, it doesn't make it a vampire novel! Yes there's vampires, but there's shapeshifters, magicians, seers...all that good stuff. And the vampires are portrayed to really be the stupid ones XD It makes me happy.
So omg I need to go over the epicness of how I found these books. I had watched the movies some couple years ago. Loved them. Olga <3 And then this past summer my friend wanted to go take a look in the book store for some manga. I wandered a bit and came upon this book called The Night Watch. At first I was all "No...there couldn't have been a book..." Then I saw that the author was Russian which got me a bit more excited. Started to read the description on the back, read the name Anton Gorodetsky and spazzed. Ran over to my friend with a look of pure happiness, clutching the book to my chest. Yup. XD
So I read the first book, spazzed about how different it was from the movie (likely why I still love both book and movie 'cause they're so different you really can't compare them) and went out and searched for the second. I couldn't find it...Found the third and fourth books, but the second was nowhere to be found!
So yes. I would definitely recommend this book. So go looking for it! The author's Sergei Lukyanenko. Quite possibly my favourite author <3 He was the scifi author of the year in 2005 in Russia, so check out his scifi stuff too
Wow, for once it wasn't an angry spaz XD
